Course Overview

The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits/Assessment of quality management systems in organization against ISO 9001, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021 -1, as applicable.

This course is IRCA (International Registered certified Auditor) and Global-recognized and accepted. Attendees who have successfully completed this course will fulfill the training requirements for certification as an IRCA QMS Auditor/ Lead Auditor (and Internal Auditor) and IRCA requirements for certification as a QMS Auditor/ Senior Auditor.

Lead Auditor Training
  1. An introduction and explanation of Quality terminologies
  2. Philosophy and fundamental principles of ISO 9000 series
  3. A brief review of the requirements of ISO 9001 standards
  4. An explanation of audits, their purpose and planning and the way to approach, perform and report an audit
  5. Scheduling and planning of ISO 9001 QMS internal and external audits
  6. Auditor’s responsibilities, personnel attributes and Auditor selection
  7. Successful tools and techniques for ISO 9001 QMS auditing
  8. Effective reporting & follow-up of ISO 9001 QMS auditing
  9. Auditor Registration Scheme
  10. Examination.

  5. Presentation: Approach to audit, communication and auditor behavior
  6. Group Activity: Planning for state 1 audit
Day 3
  1. Presentation: Audit Execution
  2. Group Activity: Conducting stage 1 audit
  3. Group Activity: Planning for stage 2 audit
  4. Individual Activity: Communication
  5. Presentation: NCR reporting, Corrective action and Audit report
  6. Group Activity: Conducting opening meeting
Day 4
  1. Group Activity: Auditing top management
  2. Group Activity: Auditing role play, NCR reporting and judgement.
Day 5
  1. Group Activity: Conducting closing meeting
  2. Group Activity: Corrective action review and follow-up action
  3. Presentation: Exam revision and clarification of doubts
